What is the sound of embroidery?

Patterns, melodies and flavors mingled at the exhibition organized by the Museum of Transportation. Rich Arabic motives and fine-tuned Japanese details – these are interchangeable forms that we have turned into edible bites. Within Budapest Design Week 2019 the Japanese and near-East edition of Soundweaving project by Zsanett Szirmay was exhibited in Tesla Loft’s amazing and monumental space.  We catered Arabic basboussa and Japanese matcha tea sponge cake and asked for the participation of visitors. They had to cut out their own pieces of dough according to the motives sprinkled on the top of the cakes.
