The main topic of the Budapest Design Week in 2012 was Slow Design. Our group was invited by the Kultúrgorilla to make a food-related performance.

In our simplified interpretation ‘Slow food’ is about taking your time for good-quality eating in a pleasant environment, in other words, as the titel was, Chew it well!

During the performance the participants could buy healthy food (artisanal baked goods, milk products, vegetables), but, in order make it feel better the importance and value of the healthy eating, they had to pay with their time. Each of the products had it’s own price, converted in minutes and second. During the symbolic payment they had to stand in one place patiently and short movies were projected about the production of the purchased goods.
